Patagonica Lager 12
In collaboration with the Chilean brewery Calle Calle, we brewed an amber lager for the fading end of summer. Seven types of malt, including wheat and a touch of rye, create a complex malt character that complements the higher bitterness of Saaz hops. The aromatic final hopping relies purely on Ranco, an endemic wild hop from the Chilean foothills of the Andes.
Even though this is an overseas collaboration and the hops traveled from the opposite side of the globe, don't expect anything unusual—Chilean lagers are mainly based on Central European ones, although they are more influenced by Bavaria; thus, the beer is highly drinkable, with a higher bitterness.
